The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics is redefining the way musculoskeletal care is delivered across the region with locations throughout Maryland, DC, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hinkes grew up in Kensington, Maryland and received his B.A. with distinction from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He graduated from Howard University College of Medicine in 1978 and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He did his internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond from 1978 through 1983. Dr. Hinkes practices General Orthopaedics primarily at Holy Cross Hospital, where he has been the recent President of the Medical Staff, past Chairman of Surgery and currently serves as Chairman of Credentials. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been with the Montgomery Orthopaedics division since 1983.
